League list

Heres the list I'm using for the League. I'm looking to have fun this time around more so then playing a competitive list. Since according to the new fluff, Imperial Fists are second only to Ultra Marines in following the codex, I figured I would make a flank marching army using Khan's special rules.

So, heres my list. Feel free to comment and tear me apart

By the way I thought a razorback was 50 not 40 points. I fixed it and gave my sternguard 2 melta-guns to correct the point value.

I have 10 lists at the store. 1 more list coming from Peter, and hopefully Rick and Chris get in. We are gonna wait till sunday night to start penalizing for late lists.

I think you mean combi-meltas as actual melta guns are 10 points a piece

I took another look at my list about an hour ago and realized that while I have it mostly painted I would rather try something new that would require me to get more of my models built. I sent off that list a bit ago to you Denver (that would be e-mail #3 in your inbox Denver!)

I'll go ahead and post my new list here. I don't know if it's better, worse, or the same as my old list, but I'm sure gonna miss out-flanking units and telion

Nope they are 5 points. Can get up to 2 in a sternguard squad.

Also funnily enough my new list is perfectly designed to be demolished by yours Dave where as my old one would have been great against it haha.

With my list im not so much scared of either list, the only difference being I would play significantly differently in each case.

I'd lose a squad to your termy charge out of the LR, then destroy them with shooting in the aftermath, and be able to outshoot everything else you've got while picking up objectives

The new list will actually give me more problems as I'll have to roll well enough to do something useful in 2 turns or regret it big time.

Though I will admit I have a lot of anti-infantry in my lists these days, and I'm "accidentally" set up to take out large numbers of TH/SS termies (shocker)

But you could expect to lose all 4 land speeders in the first turn if you dont make TONS of cover saves

We can find out tomorrow if you want, though im supposed to be playing fantasy at some point and will have to leave early for a prior dinner arrangement

Depends when I wake up and what I get built. Might proxy 5 normal termies for the second 5x assault ones.

Yeah your list is designed to kill light fliers and termies. I only take them for lists with unstoppable cc units like nob bikers. TBH the double land-raider list would have owned everyone better than anything I could have brought but for some reason I wasn't feeling it...it's more fun to play with more units I think.
