Skulls and chains (Terminator Chaplain)

Hey guys, I'm busy painting my marines and I was wondering, starting from foundation to washes, what paints are used for painting skulls? I'm trying to paint my Terminator Chaplain and the skull is just irritating me. Right now its just a black skull with red eyes and it looks like crap. Also, if anyone can and following from foundation to washes, what are the best paints for gold chains

For skulls put you need 2-3 coats of bone white. I say 2-3, possibly even more, coats because you want to put it on thin so that you have a smooth covering of the skull. From there you do a wash of develin mud. pretty much that's it, practice on other stuff first before you do it on your chappy though.

For gold I would say start with the bright gold color and wash it down with ether devlin mud or ogryn flesh. The flesh wash will add a hint of orange/red to the gold.

Oh Zannal for the skull do I use a white foundation first then the Bone White or just go straight to the bone white?

If you have the white foundation then a coat or 2 will make the skull white easier. Only thing is remember to water down the foundation white and be ok with doing multiple coats of the color. If you want you could just go straight skull white over the black, just make sure, multiple coats of thin paint so it isnt clumpy.
