| Well Russell and I had a pretty good game. We were playing bases. In the bottom of the fourth turn, the store was closing, So we called it with me claiming my base and contesting his. So a final score of 1 to 0.

| I had a brain wracking, hard fought, Annihilation / pitched battle, vs. David for my second game.
Every move, and every target I engaged I would stop and second guess my self, lol. But in the end the Fists prevailed; for the Emperor was on their side this day.
I can not fault David for any part of the game, if truth be told he played a better game then me. But similar to my game with Chris, the dice gods where on my side while cursing my opponent.
We ended the game at the top of the 7th turn because even if David finished off my Combat squad (that fought an epic, never ending close combat engagement with some stern guard) next to his Predator (that would not die), I would still be up 1kp.
The game was super close, with the ability to change quickly one way or the other each turn. A save here, a failed save there, etc made a huge difference on the kill points at the end of the game.
With us both combat squading, we both had lots of kill points to give up. But when we ended the long game of 7 turns, the score was only 4-6 (would have been 5-6, but at that point it would not have been enough, so we ended it)
David, thanks for the great game.

| I wanna play games..../cry Oh well, I know I suck at 40k. Anyhoo, hi. Figured I'd pop in and see what you bums are up to. Site's all nice and shiny! Well, you guys are all opinionated 40k types so if you have any suggestions or ideas for stuff to do in the store (on top of your league games) just let me know. Send me an e-mail, or just post something here on the forums. Yeah yeah, I know this has nothing to do with week two games but I knew ya'll would see this if I put this here. Take that!

| Black-shirt triple post FTW.
If you suits wanna learn how to actually play the game you sell better and have some fun off-hours to boot, why not join the league?

I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but I'm sure something will materialize in there at some point. (as to it being 40k related or not, I have no control over that)

| Howdy from Berlin guys. Gonna SUCK not playing 40k for 6 months, especially now that this league is up. Getting to play high-stakes, hard games on my own time schedule in the last 2 weeks was huge fun...and I got a ton of painting, building, sculpting, and magnetizing done. Oh well. I'll have to see how expensive 40k stuff is here in Germany. If it's not too bad maybe I can take some of these Euros if I have any left at the end and burn them (dying to own 4-6 drop pods!)
Tim: I gotta say this...you are the best GW store manager I've ever encountered, and your store staff the best red shirts. I've been to a lot of GW stores over the years, including Katy Mills, Rice, some in New England, and several in London. At every one of them the GW employees would constantly push crap on me I knew well I didn't need and couldn't afford, and would throw a fit any time I did anything out of the bounds of their little rules (like trade someone a tank for something). There is reason GW stores have a bad rep among some people online compared to LFGSs. The Sugar Land GW store and its staff are amazing, though- other than the fact that I miss having free to enter, prize-supported 40k tournaments at one of the two stores 3/4 weeks of the month in Austin, I actually like the GW store in Sugar Land more. We have more of our own, new community and there are a decent number of tables. There is also starting to be more terrain.
Super, super excited to be coming back to the GW store in half a year.
PS I just went over my PDF codexes yesterday and realized I should have just done a Black Templars army for season 1- now that I'm magnetizing all my assault marines I can actually run a powerhouse 1500 point list!
