Also, didn't you use to play Tau at Heroes a very long time ago? I swear that I recognize you a little bit as one of the unfortunate adults that had to play me when I started the hobby at 13 or so.

Just to clarify for my list, I only have a total of 20 bodies in that Shoota Boy unit. That's 1 Nob, 17 Shoota Boyz, and 2 Boyz w/ Big Shootas. That comes out to 175. And the two Slugga Boy squads DON'T have 'Eavy Armour on the Nobs, so they're only 220 per unit.

Keeping that in mind it puts me at 1500 exactly.

I'll need to run the numbers for Fed's list too, as as Nate put it, he's severely under points.

EDIT: Okay, I ran the numbers for Fed's list. I got 1085 as well. Did Fed leave stuff out on accident or does he only really have that much to play with? And if that IS all that he owns, should we allow him to buy/build/add a unit or two before he starts playing or is he just SOL?

I got 1595 for Russell's list, assuming that all the upgrades are listed, so he's over points. Maybe he should donate a unit to Fed?

Zach's list as listed is 1500 points, BUT it's illegal on three counts.
1) 'Ard Boyz squads of unit size 20 aren't allowed to have a Trukk
2) Slugga Boyz squads of unit size 20 aren't allowed to have a Trukk
3) A Warbiker Nob cannot have BOTH a Big Choppa AND a Power Klaw

So he needs to either drop the Trukks and add 120 points elsewhere, or he needs to drop his 'ard boyz and slugga boyz to unit size 12 so they can fit in their trukkz.

Also, if the Stormtroopers ARE actually Elites (as you listed), then Peter only has one troops choice. He has the Grenadiers Doctrine, so I'm assuming he wants his stormies to count as troops, but he ALSO has the Stormtroopers Doctrine so he can bring them as Elites as well as the Guard FAQ states that you don't need to get the Stormtroopers Doctrine in addition to the Grenadiers Doctrine in order to bring Stormies as troops. You CAN get both and bring 6 Storm squads: 3 as Troops and 3 as Elites. Maybe the list is copied wrong and he has a second platoon that is identical to the first? That would put him at 1613 points, though. Also, one of the two Junior officers is actually a troops choice as it's part of the Infantry Platoon. The Mortar Support Squad is part of the HQ Command Platoon, and thus would be counted as an "HQ" choice, not a Troops choice. Needless to say, I am very confused by this list.

If Fed is only listing what he has, I have a bunch of Orks that I'll loan him, just to get a sporting list going. The only thing I'd ask is that I get 'em back in similar shape to what they were handed to him with & with Fed, I think that almost goes w/out saying.

No problem on Zach's list. Great minds think alike, eh?

@ Nick - yes, I still have that Tau army too (for the moment anyway). Interesting choice of words BTW. Weren't you the one who came in with Chris the Ultramarine player?

Yeah he was the only person that I personally knew that played 40k in Sugar Land except for 1 guy who quit that I didn't know as well. I haven't been close to Chris in a long time but he joined the football team in high school and as he wasn't dumb as rocks like most football players he got a scholarship to Harvard or something, although I think he ended up going to West Point or some place. I recall him gloating a few years ago about his offer because as he said he wasn't the brightest kid but for a football player he was a genius (and being an eagle scout didn't hurt).

I'm looking forward to seeing your Space Wolves- your Tau were painted very nicely.

I found an issue today with Zachs army. He essentially had two mobz of ard boys. we cleaned it up and hes changing his list.

Did you point out to him the other things we mentioned above? Namely that Boyz squads bigger than 12 can't have Trukkz and that his Warbiker Nob can't have two weapons?

yes he rolls 6 nobz in one of them and thraka in the other.

If we include the Hellhound (115pts) and Chimera (85pts w/o pintle mount) I get 1,407pts.

In short, I would like to get a hold of Peters written list, and sit down with him and clarify / fix it.

Thraka can't have a dedicated transport. He can ride with the Nobz in theirs, but he himself cannot purchase a transport. Thus Zach can't have two Trukkz in his list as only the Nobz are eligible to buy one.


EDIT: And Tory, Peter's list as posted is incorrect. David copied it down wrong when Peter showed it to him. As Peter only had one copy he took it back so he could remember what he said he was bringing. I asked David about this and gave Peter a call to confirm it.
