More thoughts/questions about the campaign:
- If an enemy unit runs off of the board (aka due to shooting casualties or loosing an assault but NOT getting run down), does it count towards "killing an enemy unit" XP?
Whichever unit last contributed to the demise of any unit is the one that gains the XP for killing it.
So, let's say that a unit of Terminators looses combat and fails it's morale check. It passes it's I roll off for sweeping advance. Sadly, in it's turn it cannot regroup, because there is an enemy rhino close by, and they end up running off the board. The Rhino get's the XP points for ensuring they left.
Just as, if marine unit A guns down 29 orks, but marine unit B guns down the last ork, it's marine unit B that gains the XP, not A.
- If an avatar runs off the board for whatever reason, what happens? Do they count as having died or do they escape and fight in the next battle?
For the most part, a majority of the Avatars are Fearless, I don't see this happening very often, but for the purposes of battle, Avatars that flee will count as the required amount of KP's/ VP's for missions involving KP's and VP's. They do not count as dead, therefore do not need to roll for Death and Injury. The only thing is that, if wounded, they will have to pay to get those wounds back.
Captured only happens in one of two ways. Surrendering, or loosing a battle, in which you have no territory to fall back to.

| So campaign update:
We will be sorting out all pregame formalities on Friday 5/16/09. I will be re posting the rules as a single document for all.
Tory has elected to be the General for the Disorder side. If no one volunteers for Generalship for the side of Order, it will be decided by drawing straws. I would like it if every one who has chosen to join would be able to make it on Friday.
Thanks guys! | |

| Uh oh! Question time again!
In Breakout, can the Defender put units in reserve? You didn't say that they can't. If they do put units in reserve, from where do they arrive from? Where do Outflankers arrive from?
In Hold at All Costs, you didn't make it that clear, but I assume the forces still have to pick which long table edge is theirs? And the win objective is what? Hold the one objective by the end of the game? And since Attackers go first I'm assuming the order of play is thus:
- Attackers pick their table edge and deploy nothing - Defender deploys Troops and Heavy Support - Attackers deploy Infiltrators - Roll for Initiative - Attackers come in from their long board edge automatically on turn 1 (unless they keep things in reserve? Is that allowed?) - Defender play their turn 1 - Attackers play their turn 2 - Defenders start rolling for reserves on their turn 2 - Etc
Hmm... It just seems to me that this setup GREATLY favors the attackers. Since they go first, they get TWO full turns to kill whatever troops/heavy support that's on the table before the Defender can even START to roll for reserves. In all likelyhood a smart/lucky attacker could kill all of the defender's units and be sitting on his objective before the Defender even starts getting any units on the table from reserve. And even then they're gonna be coming in piece-meal, so the Attacker can just eat them up as they come onto the table. Doesn't sound very fun (or FAIR) to me...

| Map movement and Claiming Territories:
In regards to today's movements. There needs to be spot tweaking to how claiming territories and movement works. Mainly, on claiming territories though.
Claiming Territories will work as such:
You claim a territory if the following conditions are met:
1) If the territory you started in, or went through was part of a leap frog movement. 2) If at the end of the map movement phase, you take a previously unclaimed territory and it is not contested by any one on the opposing team.
You do NOT claim a territory if the following apply: 1) You are in a previously neutral territory, and an opposing player has entered it. 2) You perform a movement away from the previously neutral territory, that was not part of a leap frog movement.
All of the results of Turn 1 will apply, except that Order does not currently own the Starport and the Factorium of Hate. Also that Disorder does not own the relic territory right next to the Factorium of Hate.

| So I'm back for the summer (till aug 10th) and I just remembered the Angry marine forums. Would it be too late to sign up/play? I could use my Executioners Space Marine Chapter (could be order/disorder due to Badab War) | |

| Sorry man, all the spots are taken. Sorry, who are you again?
UPDATE:
Added the following to Death and Injury:
If your Avatar has lost up to or over half of its wounds, Immediately roll for a Minor Injury.

| It's ok that all the spots are full. I'm Daniel, I normally play in Austin when school is in session (Texas State) and used to game with Colby and David. | |

| J, is there any way we could get a picture/diagram of the campaign map that's updated every week?
Maybe make a hexagon in Photoshop, copy and paste it to fill out the map territories, and then fill in the hexs with different colors to represent their bonuses/ownership? Then label the territories for what bonuses they give (+XXX Army points, etc).
Maybe:
Blue = "Good Guys" Red = "Bad Guys" Grey = "Unclaimed"

| Dice Numbers = Players (Ask your Commander what number you are.)
Silver Dice = Order
Red Dice = Disorder
(Picture removed because of size, use picture in the following post.)
